THE ASK:
Pitch and then produce a mental health-centric web series telling the story of a college campus plagued by shadowy doppelgangers intent on murdering and replacing their human counterparts

THE HOW:
After writing the pilot while studying abroad in Europe, I pitched the series Shadow Minds to Emerson Independent Video, receiving a greenlight to produce season one with a minimal budget of $750. Gathering over 40 student crew members, post-production experts, and actors, I fully wrote three episodes, shotlisted for all three episodes, and coordinated all talent and crew to film and edit together season one for release on YouTube. From there, the loyal crew and actors, passionate about the project, remained to create a total of four seasons to wrap up the entire story, with an estimated 180-minutes of content filmed and ready to hit YouTube very soon! I am currently the sole editor of the project, handling all assembly cuts, visual and graphical effects (which are fairly heavy in a dark fantasy series), audio mixing, and color correction and grading.

THE RESULT:
While seasons two, three, and four are still in post-production, season one was met with happy viewers and started off the following for the series Shadow Minds, even landing an Emerson College EVVY Award in 2018 for Outstanding Field and Television Production, as well as several EVVY nominations for Outstanding Single-Camera Direction and Best Supporting Actress On Screen in 2019. The Instagram account marketing the series gained most of its followers due to strong and consistent posting during the release of the episodes, but much more growth is expected as the series revitalizes in the coming months!
